The players always aim for the highest ranked hand, a badugi. A badugi consist of 4cards which are of different values and from different suits. An ace in Badugi has a lowvalue.

For example: Ace of hearts, 2 of spades, 3 of clubs and 4 of diamond is the bestpossible badugi poker hand.

However, a badugi hand is less probable than the other hand combinations. Here’swhat you do in case of non badugi hands:

1. Paired hand - There are two or more cards of the same value. The cards shall beconsidered as one. So, in a combination of Ace(heart), 6(diamonds), 4(club), 4(spade), oneof the number 4 cards shall be discarded to have a 3-card hand.

If the hand consists of the cards Ace(heart), 6(diamonds), 6(spade), 6(club), two ofthe number 6 cards shall be discarded and the remaining cards shall become a 2-card hand.

If the hand consists of cards that are one of a kind, from the same suit or the samenumber or value, the cards shall be considered as one. The extra cards shall be discardedand the remaining card shall be a 1-card hand.

2. Suited hand
Two or more cards are from the same suit. Choose and keep the one with the lowest value. The remaining cards may for a 3-,2-,or 1- card hand.

3. Pair and suited hand
There are two cards from the same suit and the other two cards have the same value. Thereshall be two cards remaining to form a

2-card hand.
There are four betting rounds throughout the game. Each betting round follows a carddrawing round. After the fourth betting round, the remaining players put their cards onthe table face up for evaluation. Then, a winner is declared. If there are more than onewinner (they have exactly the same hand), they share the pot.
